Xbox One Hardware
So you've decided to Buy Xbox One, UK customers will find a wide variety of sources to purchase it, but we are not hear to talk about that today. Instead we will be discussing Xbox One hardware.
Xbox One Memory and Processing Power
The next Xbox One will have a massive increase in hardware from the current Xbox 360, they are increasing it from an already impressive 500,000,000 transistors to a massive 5 billion transistors. This means a huge boost in power for gaming and other applications on the device. The chip set and CPU have been custom created especially for the new Xbox One by a very well know company called AMD. The have been supplying processors to the UK market for years, so chances are you have used a device running on an AMD platform.
Another new feature of the Xbox One is the ability to make use of the Xbox One Cloud. What this means for your average game is quite simple, faster games, as long as you have a good internet connection that is. What happens is your Xbox sends off raw data to be processed within the cloud and the cloud then broadcasts this data back as usable information for the console. This all happens very quickly, and it means your console will be able to display amazing graphics without an amazing graphics card. So now software developers have the opportunity to make better use of the latest technologies, maps for games can be made more vast, the graphics will take on an extreme level of detail which we have yet to see in the world of console gaming.
Xbox One Storage Space
The Xbox One console has a pretty standard 500GB hard drive, but yet again up in the Xbox One Cloud storage is apparently unlimited. This means as long as you are ready to go make a brew whilst your internet connection downloads your content you could theoretically store all the music you own for every artist since your record collection began, this places all your media at your finger tips wherever you are in the world.
However if you would prefer not to make use of the Xbox cloud you can expand your media storage physically by added a USB 3 hard drive with as much storage as you like. We are not sure if you will be limted to one drive, but you can always swap a drive out depending on what your listening to or what movie you have decided to watch that evening.
Movies? Does that mean the Xbox One has Blu-ray?
Yes, that's exactly what it means the Xbox One will support Blu-ray from the off, so your Blu-ray collection isn't redundant yet. It means you can enjoy your HD media on your TV, you can also run a cable box or other HDMI device through the console which means you can record from your cable service or theoretically a PlayStation 4?
